Information and Advice Service

When you are feeling overwhelmed, and you could do with some help, we offer a FREE Information and Advice Service, the aims of which are:

• To provide an early intervention and prevention DROP IN service for people accommodated or homeless in Ceredigion

• Though primarily providing one-off advice and information, follow up meetings and signposting are also offered

• We aim to prevent crisis situations, reducing the risk of homelessness

• A Point of contact for partner agencies

• The Service offers immediate assistance across a range of areas, including

  • Housing Support

  • Homelessness and homeless applications

  • Housing legislation and tenancy rights

  • Property searches

  • Housing Register applications

  • Housing Benefits

  • Utility related enquiries i.e. gas, electrics, etc.

  • Form filling

  • Budgeting & Financial Management, including rent arrears

  • Signposting to specialist services

  • Foodbanks and community initiatives
